Now Available: Direct Access Colonoscopy

Did you know that you may be able to schedule a colonoscopy without coming into the office for a consult? With Direct Access Colonoscopy, healthy, age-appropriate patients can fill out a form, be screened over the phone and scheduled for the procedure. This safe, convenient program can save you time and is now available in the Westchester area at our state-of-the-art outpatient colonoscopy surgical suites.

Colonoscopy is the gold standard screening tool for colorectal cancer and is proven to lower your risk of getting cancer. The goal of a colonoscopy is to identify and remove benign tumors or polyps that can turn into cancer in the future. Screening for colorectal cancer should begin at age 45 or earlier in patients with risk factors. Talk to your physician about when it is right for you to start screening.
