Pratika Mikkilineni, MD, is passionate about patient care. She chose a career in medicine because she values the long-term relationships and trust built through continuity of care. Being able to support patients over time and see the impact of consistent, compassionate care is what drives her work.

Dr. Mikkilineni specializes in general pediatrics, with a strong focus on continuity of care from the newborn period through adolescence. Having trained in the South Bronx, she is experienced in managing a wide range of complex and routine pediatric cases. She is particularly comfortable providing comprehensive, longitudinal care to diverse patient populations.

Her philosophy of patient care centers on respect for patient autonomy. Dr. Mikkilineni believes that empowering individuals with clear, accessible information about their health is essential to helping them make informed decisions. She strives to create a collaborative environment where patients and families feel heard, supported, and equipped to take an active role in their care. "The most important thing to me during a visit is being a thoughtful and attentive listener—whether to my patient or their parents. I aim to create a familiar, supportive environment rooted in trust, where families feel comfortable sharing concerns and confident in the care their child receives," she says.

Outside of work, Dr. Mikkilineni is a foodie who loves exploring new cuisines and learning about different cultures through food. She also enjoys staying active—playing tennis and spending time outdoors helps her recharge and maintain balance in her life.
