Eleni M. Florakis, MD, is an Internal Medicine physician who provides Primary Care for all adults over the age of 18. Dr. Florakis received her Bachelor of Science from Binghamton University in Integrative Neuroscience with a minor in Global Studies and attended medical school at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. She then completed Internal Medical Residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA as part of the Primary Care Program where she was awarded the PGY-III Ambulatory Resident of the Year for overall outstanding performance in the ambulatory setting.

Dr. Florakis learned from a young age how integral good health is to a good life. This understanding led her to a career in healthcare, where she uses her medical expertise to improve the overall health and well-being of her patients.

Dr. Florakis believes in an individualized approach to patient care. She gets to know what is important to each of her patients while keeping their overall health at the forefront using an evidence-based approach. “Every patient comes to the office with their own set of experiences, expectations, and hopes. I aim to understand each of these aspects to build a foundation that allows for bidirectional trust and growth” she says.

One of the aspects of her job that Dr. Florakis enjoys the most is the long-term relationships she forms with her patients. She enjoys getting to know each patient as well as their friends and families over time and seeing the positive impact she has on their health. She is also passionate about Preventative Health, Women’s Health, and Health Equity.

When she’s not treating patients, Dr. Florakis enjoys going for walks and hikes with her husband and their mini dachshund, Zoey. She also enjoys trying new restaurants and reading mystery and thriller books.
