Jacklyn Malaran, PT, pursued a career in health care because she values the physicality of having an active job. She thrives to empower patients and show them they can heal themselves by improving the strength they already have.

Ms. Malaran’s expertise encompasses caring for patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She finds physical therapy to be a very rewarding profession. “I enjoy seeing how happy patients get as they slowly return to doing the things they love,” she said.

The most important thing for Ms. Malaran during a visit with a patient is having quality one-on-one time to form a good relationship with them and get to know them better. She believes every interaction she has with someone is a chance to leave a positive impact.

“I love hearing patients talk about how, day by day, they're in less and less pain because they found a treatment that was tailored specifically for them and their condition,” said Ms. Malaran.

When she is not treating patients in the office, Ms. Malaran enjoys spending time outdoors, especially by the water or going on hikes.
