Gordon Huang, PharmD, has a strong desire to help others. This led him to a career in health care where he could directly connect with patients and empower them to take control of their health. His area of expertise is ambulatory care pharmacy, where he focuses on chronic disease state management, medication optimization, and patient education in the outpatient setting.

Dr. Huang works closely with patients and providers to manage conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia. He believes that small, consistent improvements can lead to meaningful, long-term changes in a patient’s health. His approach centers on building trust, setting realistic goals, and empowering patients with the knowledge and support they need to take control of their care one step at a time.

“The most important thing to me is building a genuine connection and truly understanding each patient’s needs, concerns, and goals. This allows me to provide care that is not only clinically effective but also personalized and meaningful to them,” Dr. Huang says. What he enjoys most is having direct communication with patients and being part of their progress. It’s incredibly rewarding to build relationships, provide guidance, and witness the positive changes that come from their shared efforts.

When not in the pharmacy, Dr. Huang enjoys watching motorsports—especially Formula 1—building custom computers, gaming, and weightlifting. These hobbies help him stay balanced, mentally engaged, and physically active outside of work.
