Nicholas Colonna, MD, is a dedicated professional in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

A New Jersey native, he earned his medical degree from New Jersey Medical School and completed his residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai – West, where he served as Administrative Chief Resident as well as a member of the hospital system’s Perioperative Safety Committee.

Dr. Colonna chose a career in women’s health to have an impact on some of life’s most personal and transformative moments. Whether guiding patients through pregnancy and childbirth or helping to navigate the complexities of reproductive health, he brings both clinical expertise and a deep sense of empathy to every interaction.

He provides comprehensive women’s healthcare, including routine and complex obstetrics, management of gynecologic conditions, and preventive well-woman visits, and is skilled in open, vaginal, and minimally invasive surgery.

Dr. Colonna’s approach to patient care is simple: listen first, treat second. He creates a welcoming, judgment-free environment where patients feel comfortable sharing concerns, asking questions, and making informed decisions about their health.

“It’s deeply important to me that my patients leave feeling more empowered and less anxious than when they arrived,” says Dr. Colonna. “Whether we’re managing a pregnancy, addressing a health issue, or doing a routine checkup, I want each individual to feel they are supported, informed, and truly cared for.”

Outside the office, Dr. Colonna enjoys spending time with his family and friends, staying active, cooking, and relaxing with a good horror movie.
