Lucas Martinez, PA-C, RDMS, RVT, is a member of Íøºì³Ô¹Ï's Interventional Radiology team. Lucas decided to pursue a career in healthcare during a turning point in his life. After experiencing the sudden loss of a loved one due to cancer, he understood the fragility of life and the importance of being impactful in the lives of others. His career as an Interventional Radiology Physician Assistant has allowed him to help patients and their families navigate through some of their most challenging times.

Lucas's area of expertise revolves around using imaging techniques such as CT, X-Ray, or Ultrasound, to help diagnose and treat various conditions. He performs a broad range of procedures from multiple organ biopsies, lumbar punctures, intrathecal chemotherapy infusions, line placements such as central lines or dialysis catheters, and port placements.

Lucas's philosophy or approach to patient care is to envision every patient as his parent. This ensures that he treats every patient with respect, kindness, empathy, and grace. He also believes in making a personal connection with the patient. He tries to see his patients not just as a person undergoing a procedure, but as a human being with a story. This gives the service and care he provides so much more meaning not only for the patient, but also for himself.

Outside of work, Lucas enjoys playing video games, Magic the Gathering, and has a penchant for visiting Michelin star restaurants. He is also a huge advocate for mental health awareness and animal welfare.
