Yosleisy Valdes Hernandez, MD is a member of Íøºì³Ô¹Ï’s Hospitalist Medicine team. His interest in healthcare was sparked at an early age, having had a mother who was a nurse and being exposed to the hospital environment. Dr. Hernandez’s area of expertise is in adult Internal Medicine, both inpatient and outpatient.

The doctor is trained and certified in ACLS/BLS, endotracheal intubation, central and peripheral line placement, incision and drainage of abscesses, arterial line placement, ABG’s, NG placement, among others.

Practicing “empathy and passionate care, my priority is to focus on the patient as a whole and not just treating their medical conditions," says Dr. Hernandez. He feels it is most important to establish a good rapport with patients and to be a trustworthy healthcare provider. Most of all, he enjoys seeing results from his direct patient care.

When not caring for patients, Dr. Hernandez enjoys traveling, photography, and spending time with family. He is also passionate about educating the community on prevention and management of diabetes, hypertension and other chronic diseases. Additionally, he has participated in several research studies throughout his career.
