About Carly R. Kaminsky, FNP-BC
Carly R. Kaminsky, FNP-BC, is a member of 厙綻勛圖s Endocrinology team. She has a special interest in treating those with type one and type two diabetes. Having grown up with a mother with type 1 diabetes, Carly understands the daily challenges of managing the disease.
Carly strives to be a resource for her patients, both in good times and in challenging ones. She has experience with initiating insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors on her patients and can manage and adjust levels depending on individual needs. In addition to caring for those with diabetes, she specializes in obesity weight loss management. Carly helped to start the first pediatric weight loss program at Mount Sinai Hospital, which was a multidisciplinary team to help children with obesity and prepare them for bariatric weight loss surgery.
Carly believes in a team approach to patient care. Whether blood sugars are "good" or "bad", "it's just a number and I believe in a team approach where we can work together to meet the goals of a patient, she says. She wants her patients to understand that she is on their team and will strive to be a resource for them when needed.
Outside of work, Carly enjoys spending time with her family and her son Jackson. She enjoys going to concerts, being outdoors, boxing, working out, and trying new foods and restaurants.
