About Caleb K. Charny, MD
Dr. Charny specializes in general surgery and laparoscopy. He earned a bachelor of science degree summa cum laude in chemical engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1983. This was followed by a PhD in biomedical engineering from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 1988. Dr. Charny was a national research council research associate at the National Institute of Health from 1988 to 1989. He then worked as an assistant professor of chemical engineering at The Cooper Union in New York City until 1991 when he entered medical school.
Dr. Charny received his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine and went on to complete a general surgery residency at New York Hospital Medical Center-Cornell Medical Center. For the next two years, he was a staff attending in general and trauma surgery at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in Queens, NY. He joined Katonah Medical Group in 2002 and practiced at Northern Westchester Hospital in Mt. Kisco.
Dr. Charny joined Íøºì³Ô¹Ï (formerly Westmed Medical Group) in 2004. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. His hospital affiliations are with White Plains Hospital and Greenwich Hospital.
